Rincon – Bernice Harrelson Reid, 81, passed away August 14, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

The Effingham County native retired from the State of Georgia Department of Corrections. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Ravenel Harrelson and Willie Mae Bevill Harrelson; sons, Joey Sikes and Randy Sikes; husband, James H. Reid; brother, Bubba Harrelson; and sister, Jeanette Clay.

Survivors include her sons, Stephen Sikes and Timothy Sikes; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Old Fellowship Baptist Church in Stilson.
