Obituary
Eden-Ms. Bernice Mock Yarbrough, 87, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Effingham Extended Care Facility.
Ms. Bernice was born in Effingham County to the late Willie S. & Anna Mock. She is also preceded in death by a son, Alan C. Yarbrough, a sister, Doris M. Hendrix, brothers, Jeff, Jim and Carroll Mock. She was a member of Powers Baptist Church and she retired as Postmaster of the Eden Post Office after 21 years of service.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Gary Yarbrough & Ann, Marsha Cook Jordan & Sidney, Sue Fair & Jim, and Mike Yarbrough & Joan; brother, Bobby Mock; 10 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service and burial will be on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Powers Baptist Church Cemetery located at the corner of Highway 80 and Old River Road in Effingham County with Rev. Travis Cowart officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that remembrances be given to the Powers Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 730, Eden, GA 31307
