Obituary

Mrs. Bessie Mae Trout, 90, of Harlem, Georgia, and a former resident of Chatham County for 30 plus years, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

She will be missed by her daughters, Brenda Weese (Dennis) and Belinda Pollett; grandchildren, Branden Pollett (Kathryn), Dillen Pollett (Taylor), Brenda Michele Eisentraeger, Rachel Sue Daniel (Tim), Robert Kenneth Waugh, Jr., and James Everett Waugh; ten great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Bessie Mae was born in Denison, Texas and was preceded in death by her husband, James Everett Trout, two daughters, Jelinda Trout and Linda Waugh, as well as her parents, William and Mary Tolley Chapman.  Bessie Mae was a homemaker who enjoyed plants, animals, but most of all, loved the Lord.  She has been described as being quiet, shy, beautiful and loving.  She will be missed.

The funeral to honor Bessie Mae's life will be on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
