Mrs. Betsy Mullins DeFilippis of Pooler, passed peacefully after a two year battle with
cancer on February 13, 2008.

She was married to Al DeFilippis for fifty years and had three sons, Sonny & Susan,
Tony & Marla and Mike & Michelle. She had ten grandchildren, Kira & Jared, Kristen,
Whitney, A.J., Adrienne, Cayse, William, Luke, Andrew, and Alex. She had one
great-grandchild, Bella Grayce. She was the sister of Tommy & Phyllis and Jake &
Jackie Mullins.

Betsy was a communicate of Holy Angels Episcopal Church in Pooler and a retiree of
Gulfstream Aerospace. She did volunteer work for the Eigth Air Force, the Shriners, and
the Pooler Chamber of Commerce. Betsy was very active in her Church and community.
Her most notable strength was her love and kindness for family and friends. She never
met a stranger and promoted her favorite town of Pooler, Georgia with great fondness.

The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home. Pallbearers
will be Ron O'Sako, Bo Edwards, Ned Winters, Wendell Smith, Ken Durden and Ike
LaRoache. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
