Betty Scott Burnsed

Rincon- Betty Scott Burnsed, 94, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Pruitt Healthcare Seaside.

The Swainsboro, GA native was a member of First Baptist Church of Rincon and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She worked as an LPN at Memorial Health for 30 years. Mrs. Betty loved to cook, sew, watch the old westerns and just be at home. She helped her husband by keeping the books for the home construction business, but her greatest joy was being with her husband, children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon H. Burnsed; and her son-in-law, Dan Frailey.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Frailey; her son, Michael S. Burnsed (Joanne); grandchildren, Danielle Brandenburgh (Billy), Kyle Burnsed (Lindsey), and Timothy Burnsed (Kimberly); great-grandchildren, Will Brandenburgh and Emory Brandenburgh; two sisters, Joyce Davis and Faye Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 1 – 2 pm Saturday, August 8, 2026 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 2 pm Saturday, August 8, 2026 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Rincon Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to the First Baptist Church of Rincon Building Fund or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
