Springfield – Betty Turner Ford, 78, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at her sister's home.

The Nixville, SC native was a retired seamstress, having worked in Springfield and Rincon before keeping children in her home. Betty loved her pets, especially her English Bulldogs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd & Vena Turner; her husband, Palmer Ford; grandson, Matthew Noah Ford; and sister, Vena Mae Holland.

She is survived by her children, Margaret Riner (Roy) and Eddie Ford (Lynn); grandchildren, Kirsten Ford, Eddie Ford, and Will Layel; sisters, Emma Bishop and Josie Smith; brother, Floyd Turner, Jr. (Annie Mae); and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of Betty's caregivers, including Josie, Taylor, Tyler, and Cynthia.

Visitation: 9:30 – 10:30 am Monday, September 2, 2024 in the funeral home.

Graveside Service: 11 am Monday, September 2, 2024 at Springfield Cemetery.
