Obituary

Guyton- Betty Jean Hall Tatgenhorst, 81, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family and friends.

The Savannah, GA native was a 1957 graduate of Effingham County High School, where she played basketball. She loved crocheting, dancing, playing the piano, and especially scanning Facebook. She was a homemaker most of her life, but did work as a finance manager for several years and was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Tatgenhorst; parents, W.O. "Red" and Mildred Hall; brother, W.O. Hall, Jr.; and niece, Lee Hall Bignault.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Tatgenhorst Smoak (Robert); grandchildren, Kendall Baker (Cal), Karlye Claxton, and Garrison Smoak; brother, Tommy Hall (Marna Lewin); sister, Rose Hall Lee (Roy); nieces, Stephanie Stasolla and Kristin McCann; nephew, Neil Hall; and many beloved cousins, other relatives, and Facebook friends.

Visitation: 10 – 11 am Saturday, July 31, 2021 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 am Saturday, July 31, 2021 in the funeral home chapel.

Burial: Guyton Cemetery
