Mrs. Betty Jean Holton
Pooler-Mrs. Betty Jean Holton, 67, died on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at her home.
The Chatham County native was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Holton. She
had formerly been employed with Chatham Dress Factory for 15 years. She operated
Holton's Group Home Day Care for many years and she was a homemaker.
Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Patricia & Johnny Ray Lynn of
Pooler, Tina & Ricky Beasley of Bloomingdale, Carmen Gray of Pooler and Karen &
Eddie White of Pooler; grandchildren, Keith Saxon, Heather Simmons, Phillip Beasley,
Justin, Ryan and Kendall Gray, Christopher, Kaitlyn and Colt White; great-grandchildren,
Alex & Brendon Saxon, Kaleigh Simmons, Haleigh Page and Cody Wilson; brothers,
Tommy Rogers of Brooklet, Charles Rogers of Atlanta and Jimmy Rogers of Garden
City; sister, Shirley Avant of Pembroke; several nieces and a very special friend, Chris
Liscio.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 1 p.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at
Hillcrest West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
