Betty S. Lanier

Rincon- Betty S. Lanier, 69, died Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Effingham Hospital.
Betty was born in Portsmouth, VA on September 5, 1944, and was the second of two daughters born to the late Maywood and Vertie Sanders. The Elizabeth City, NC native is our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, held a nursing degree and was a retired Labor and Delivery Nurse. She enjoyed sharing her love of music and cooking with family and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Betty will be forever remembered by her husband, Charles Lanier; children, Kimberly Marshall (Scott) and Jeffery Howard (Paige); her step-children, Charles Lanier, Jr. (Stacy), Jon Lanier, and Sherry Fournier (Winston); a sister, Ann Smith; a brother, David Brame; and 13 grandchildren, Jordan (Denis), Tyler, Tanner, Bryce, Logan, Dylan, Hayden, Kayla, McKay, Payson, Hannah, Conner, Hailey.
Visitation: 3-5 pm Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 am Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Rincon Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 903 Fort Howard Rd., Rincon, GA 31326.
Interment: 3 pm Monday, December 2, 2013 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
