Mrs. Betty Sue Long, 84, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at her home.
Sue was born in Dublin, Georgia and had lived here for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas W. and Doretha Lowery Raburn, sisters, Dot Mann and Carolyn Wells, and brothers, Charles Raburn and Gene Raburn. She was a homemaker and an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, James R. Long; children, Wes Long (Donna), Ricky Long (Yvonne), Debbie O'Connor (Joe), and Bob Long (Elizabeth); ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Quinell Elmer and Nancy Soiset; brother, Edward Burnell Raburn, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The graveside funeral and burial to honor Sue's life will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens located at 315 Greenwich Road in Savannah, Georgia.
