Betty Phillips
Rincon- Betty Phillips, 78, died October 16, 2014 at her home.
The longtime Effingham County resident had retired after 30 years as cashier at Dan's Shop & Go and Shyamagi, Inc. Betty was a member of the Baptist Church at Ebenezer and was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Phillips.
Survivors include her daughter, Becky Swinson; grandson, Bobby Brigdon (Jessica); great-granddaughter, Emory Brigdon; sisters, Grace Knepp, Barbara Haynes, Becky Ledford, Louise Fika, and Jo Ann Allen; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
