Bloomingdale-Mrs. Betty W. Slater, 87, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Westview Nursing Home.
Mrs. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Slater. She was a member of the Meldrim United Methodist Church, and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and loved her dogs.
Survivors include her children, Connie Von Waldner, and her husband, Bill, Jackie L. Slater, and his wife, Angie, and Randolph W. "Randy" Slater; grandchildren, Will Von Waldner, Emily Slater, and Stefanie Slater; great-grandchildren, Patrick Von Waldner, Noah Von Waldner, Kaitlyn Von Waldner, and Issac Von Waldner; sisters, Mollie, Diane, and Pat, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Daisy.
The memorial service will be at Meldrim United Methodist Church on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. A meal will be provided following the service. After the meal, weather permitting, the burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.
