Mrs. Betty Lou Smiley

Savannah-Mrs. Betty Lou Smiley, 67, died on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at Candler
Hospital.

Mrs. Smiley was born in St. Augustine, FL and had lived in Chatham County since she
was six years old. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and she was preceded
in death by her husband, Gene R. Smiley.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Michelle Howe of Pooler, Anthony G. Smiley of
Savannah and Pamela Cannon of Sylvania; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
brother, Parnell Hankins of Savannah; sisters, Christine Biggs of Ludowici, Jean Fisher of
Jacksonville, FL, Miriam Alls of Savannah and her twin sister, Nancy Jo Grantham of
Gainsville, FL and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 1 p.m. on Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at
Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
