Statesboro – Betty Louise Smith Heath, 81, passed away March 31, 2023 at East GA Regional Medical Center.

The Chatham County native was a homemaker whom loved to cook, clean house, garden, and fish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Harold Smith, Sr. and Alma McGowan Smith; husband, Louis Ray Heath, Sr.; children, William Edward Powell, Jr. and Jennifer Ann Powell; siblings, Hilda Fennell and Robert Smith.

Survivors include her partner, Mike Presley; children, James Larry Powell, Joyce Ann Pharo (Ed), Cherie Louise Heath, Sandra Heath, Suzanne Redmond (Ronnie), and Louise Ray Heath, Jr.; numerous grandchildren; siblings, Harold Smith, Jr., Sue Price, and Donald Smith; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 noon Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the funeral home.
