Guyton – Betty Carolyn Swindell, 86, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

The Appling County native was married 56 years to the late Delmer Swindell and was a member of Bona Bella Baptist Church. She was a loving and giving person whom was "Granny" to everyone.

Survivors include her children, Janice Mears (Ralph) and David D. Swindell; grandchildren, Larry Cribb (Larissa), Laura Cribb, Shelby Swindell, Melanie Spikes, and Joshua Mears; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Benjamin Cribb; sisters-in law and brothers-in-law, Emily Love, Leron Swindell (Carolyn), and Wanda Swindell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service: 1 pm Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.

Remembrances: United Way of the Coastal Empire.
