Betty Jo Thigpen

Betty Jo Thigpen, 89, passed on to heaven on October 15, 2020 at her home.

Betty Jo was born on March 28, 1931 in Emanuel County, Georgia. She was a member of Rincon Baptist Temple.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Thigpen; grandsons, Wade Thigpen and Stacy Jenkins; granddaughter Jamie Harris; and great granddaughter Ellie Jenkins.

She is survived by her son, Rev. Buddy Thigpen (Susan); daughters, Diane Deverger (Bruce), Kathy Jenkins (Reuben), Judy Jenkins (Jack); fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and her caregiver Penny Thomas.

She was dearly loved by all of her family and friends.

She gave all she had

Made life much sweeter
Because of her smile

Everyone will see
What she's done in her life
Who she cared for
And how she survived
I'm sure they'd say

She loved more than anything else
