Betty M. Waterman

Guyton-Betty M. Waterman, 73, lost a long battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 4, 2017.

She was a longtime resident of Effingham County and was a member of Marlow United Methodist Church. She retired from Waste Management of Savannah and was a past president of the SE Region of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association. Betty's family was very special to her. She enjoyed family gatherings and holidays with her friends and family the most. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa; grandson, Phillip; brother, John; and sister, Sandra.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Robert F. "Bob" Waterman; children, Terry Lennox (Shari), Yancy Ford (Deidre), Julie McEwen (Randy), and Danny Waterman; grandchildren, Jaime Cole, Justin Lennox, Timothy Jaudon, Tiffany Jaudon, Matthew Ford, Joshua Ford, Corey Wagner, Haley Hickox, Tricia Waterman, and Christian Waterman; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Georgianna Craven; and a brother, Tommy Tice (Donna); and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 2 pm Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Marlow Cemetery
