Billie Oder Humphreys

Guyton – Billie Oder Humphreys, 82, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the Oaks in Pooler.

She was a lifelong resident of Effingham County. She was born in Pineora, GA on January 30, 1944. She was preceded in death by her parents William Alton Oder and Emma Hales Oder; sister, Jeannette Oder Anderson and infant sister, Miriam Virginia Oder.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Humphreys Lockhart; grandson, Jackson Lockhart; sisters, Nancy Oder Ackerman and Linda Oder Barr; nieces, Carolyn Anderson Culp (Daniel), Amy Barr Caldwell (Steven), and Alison Ackerman; nephews, John Lee Anderson, Jr. and Daniel Barr; great-niece, Farrah Ross; great-nephews, John Lee Anderson, III, William Harrington Anderson (Stephanie) and Landen Caldwell (Kastin); great-great-nephews, William Harrington Anderson, Jr. and Steven Thomas Anderson; sisters-in-law, Nellie Humphreys and Merry Humphreys Bentley.

Billie graduated from Effingham County High School in 1962. She worked at The Neal-Blun Company and Guerry Lumber in Sales totaling forty years. She loved her family, was a great cook, loved working with her flowers and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Billie’s life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Pineora Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow in Guyton Cemetery.
