Billy Calvin Kersey, 70, of Garden City, GA, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

Billy was born in Chatham County to the late Jack & Ida McCoy Kersey.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Doye Kersey.  He served his country with the 165 ^th Air National Guard Security Police and retired from Great Dane Trailers.  He coached several sports in the Garden City Recreation Department as well as the R.B. Baker Bulldog baseball team.  He was an avid GA Bulldog fan, enjoyed fishing, golfing, but most of all, loved his family and grandbabies.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Kimberly Oglesby Kersey; children, Kevin Kersey (Michele), Brent Kersey (Heather), and Kaylan Kersey Warner; grandchildren, Chase, Addison and Madden Kersey, Cade Kersey, Colton and Chloe Warner; brother, Grady Kersey (Christine); sister-in-law, Donna Kersey; brother-in-law, Billy Oglesby, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The graveside funeral and burial will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery located at 1336 Dean Forest Road in Garden City, GA.
