Mr. B.J. Thompson, 83, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at his home.

B.J. will be missed by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Roman Thompson (Lainy) and Richard Thompson (Alessia), and his grandchildren, Max, Kyle, and Alessandra Thompson.

B.J. was born in Savannah, Georgia and was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Judy Thompson; brother, Larry Thompson; sister, Jan Thompson.  He served his country in the United States Marines, the Coast Guard, the Army Reserve, and Navy Reserve (Seabees).  He retired from Union Camp/International Paper after 39 years of service.  He was a member of the Scottish Rite, the Marine Corp League.

The graveside funeral and burial will be on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim, Georgia.
