Rincon – Blake McKenzie Davis, 29, passed away peacefully December 12, 2025 at Memorial Health after a long illness.
Blake was a 2014 graduate of Crystal River High School (Florida) where he was a proud member of the FFA and the Swim & Dive team. In his senior year, Blake competed in the district championship finals, finishing in first place with a score of 460 points, beating the old school record by 75 points. He still holds the record today. Blake also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and scuba diving. After graduation, Blake came back to Rincon, where he worked in construction, laying concrete pipe with various companies.
He is survived by his young daughter, Elizabeth Lynn Davis; his mother and bonus dad, Michelle and Ed Shomer, of Florida; his father, Troy Davis of Guyton; a sister, Paige (Dathon) Hampton of Florida; a twin brother, Brian (Matty) Davis of Florida; bonus brothers, Travis (Katie) Shomer of Statesboro, and Coleton (Jessica) Shomer of Rincon; maternal grandmother, Mary Graham of Rincon; paternal grandmother, Irma Davis of Guyton; bonus grandmother, Mary Shomer; uncle, James Love, and aunt, Betsy Graham, both of Rincon; aunts, Sara (Paul) Hilde, Missy Shomer, and Amy Shomer; and eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Thomas Graham; paternal grandfather, Daniel Davis; aunt, Dana Davis; cousin, Wesley Joyner.
His wishes were to be cremated and no formal services will be held at this time.
