Mrs. Blanch Atkinson Bachmann, 75, of Port Wentworth, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Hospice Savannah.

Blanch was born in Savannah, Georgia and was preceded in death by her husband, Henry R. "Hank" Bachmann, her parents, Elisha Daniel Atkinson and Virginia Murken Atkinson, as well as her brother, Elisah Daniel "Danny" Atkinson, Jr.  Blanch was a devoted Christian as well as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She worked over two decades in the logistics field before retiring from the First Baptist Church of Richmond Hill as a receptionist.  She had a heart for service members and was active in the U.S.O.  She was a mother to many who were not her own and was always willing to cook for an army.

Survivors include her children, Michelle B. Roberts; Jennifer Fowler (Ray), and Henry R. "Robbie" Bachmann; grandchildren, Kirsten Roberts, Zachary Roberts, Austin Roberts, Brittany Jackson (Tim), Brooke Fowler, and Haley Begley (Patrick); great-grandchildren, Ethan Jackson, Oliver Jackson, and Oaklynn Jackson, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the service to honor Blanch's life to follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
