Obituary
Eden-Mrs. Blanche H. Cifers, 84, went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 15, 2012.
Mrs. Blanche was born in Statesboro to the late Solomon A. & Marie Akins Hood. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Cifers, Jr. and her daughter, Daidre Marie Royal. She retired from Sears and was a member of Powers Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian T. & Pam Cifers of Eden and James S. & Nancy Cifers of Athens, AL; sister, Dorothy H. Martinez of Melbourne, FL; eight grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
The visitation was from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the funeral home.
The funeral to celebrate Mrs. Cifers' life was at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012 in the chapel of the funeral home. Rev. Kerwin Kilgore officiated and Mr. Tommy Long provided the music. Burial followed at Upper Black Creek Cemetery in Bulloch County.
