Obituary
GUYTON: Mr. Bobby Green Johnson, 70, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010.
Mr. Johnson was a native of Augusta , GA. and lived in Midville before moving to Guyton. He was a member of Union Grove Methodist church in Midville. He served in the U.S. Army with the Big Red One Unit and retired after 28 years with Tronox, Inc. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John R. Johnson and Suzie M. Spence, five brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Dorothy Johnson; son, Bobby Johnson and wife, AnnMarie of Guyton; sister, Willie Lane and husband, Ben of Garfield and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, November 5, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens on Hwy 119 in Springfield.
