Boris Cvetkovski

Boris Cvetkovski, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Candler Hospital.

Born on May 10, 1942, in Arvati, Makedonia, Boris was a man of strong values, dedication, and deep love for his family. After living in Buffalo, New York, and the Detroit area, he spent his final years in Pooler, Georgia, with his beloved wife, Elena, and family.

Boris retired from Ford Motor Company after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed boxing, horse racing, soccer, football, hockey, gardening, good food, and sharing laughter with family and friends. Above all, he will be remembered for his love and devotion to his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitre and Petra Cvetkovski; his brothers, Cvetko and Nikola Cvetkovski; and his daughter, Angie Gimik.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Elena Cvetkovski; his daughter, Petra (Tomce) Ilievski; his son-in-law, Kenneth Gimik; his grandchildren, Melissa Ilievski, Joshua Gimik, and Victoria Gimik; his great-grandson, Jayden Ilievski; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel, 2460 Highway 21 South, Rincon, Georgia 31326.

A Panakhida service will be 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2026 at St. Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church, 1625 Fort Howard Road, Rincon, GA 31326.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2026 at St. Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church, 1625 Fort Howard Road, Rincon, GA 31326.

Interment services will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2026 at Low Country Memorial Gardens, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC 29910.
