Brad Wilkinson, 79, of Pooler, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at The Oaks at Pooler.
Brad was born in Delano, California to the late Sam & Edna Wilkinson. He had attended St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Pooler. His career working with NASA extended for a number of years and was highlighted by being involved with the TV communications when Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon. After retirement he went to work at KLRU in Austin, Texas and had the pleasure of working with "Austin City Limits" where he was able to meet a number of musical groups. He participated in both the Horizons Band and AQUI Band in Austin, and he was HAM radio operator.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Wilkinson; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Marc L. & Susan Wilkinson; daughter and son-in-law, Marsha & Bryant Rivard; grandchildren, Benjamin & Holly Wilkinson, Peter & Joanna Wilkinson, Alexa Rivard, Meghan Wilkinson, and Jordan Rivard; sister, Jane Chambers; sisters-in-law, Darlene & Jim Letko, and Lucille & David Dannenbaum, and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside funeral and burial will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Forest Lawn Cemetery located at 611 Robert Smalls Parkway in Beaufort, South Carolina.
