Marlow – Brenda Saxon, 80, passed away August 20, 2023 at her home.

The Effingham County native was a retired Registered Nurse, having worked many years at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing graduate of 1963 and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, Zeta Sigma Chapter.  She was a member of Marlow Methodist Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert "Ben" DeBenion Saxon and Stella Marette Zitterauer Saxon; her sister, Linda Saxon Lowe; her brother, Laburn "Tony" DeBenion Saxon; her son, William "Billy" Saxon, Jr.; and her grandson, Mark Holloway, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Saxon, Sr.; children, Stella Collins, Stephen Saxon, and Lawrence Saxon; grandchildren, Kristen Saxon Wells, Sean Holloway, Spencer Saxon, Ben Saxon, Daniel Warren, Mark Warren and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Justice, Kye, Sean, Jr., Natalie, Matthew, Elli, Jacob, Grace, David, Afton, and Ava; brothers, Ray Saxon (Joyce), Richard Saxon (Patti), Larry Saxon (Lisa); brother-in-law, Edgar Lowe; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service: 11 am Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Marlow Methodist Church.
