Bluffton, SC- R. Brent Hinely, 53, died Saturday, January 26, 2013 at his residence.

The Effingham County native was a CPA, a Georgia Southern graduate, and had worked for Savannah Electric & Power Co., the Southern Company, and Georgia Power before he became disabled in 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Donna McAfee Hinely; step-son, Colby Smith (Alexa); mother, Linda Stansfield (Richard); father, Rewis Hinely; sister, Cheryl Christain (Bob); brother, Steven Snooks (Harriett); and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 1-3 pm Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 3 pm Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Springfield Cemetery Annex
