Midville – Brett Waters, 56, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at his river house.

The Savannah native was a Jenkins High School graduate. He had worked for Mercy Ambulance, Southside Fire & EMS, and retired from Bryan County Fire Department, where he had served as Battalion Chief. He also was a member of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club. Brett enjoyed reinacting in his younger days. He enjoyed being at the river house watching everyone fish and have a good time. Family was what was most important. Brett's grandchildren were his world. He was preceded in death by his son, James Waters; and parents, J.B. & Joy Waters.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Waters; step-children, Katelyn Williams of New hampshire, Joseph Sarette (Hannah) of New Hampshire, and Krystyn Tollison (Chase) of Sylvania; two brothers, Richard Waters (Diane) of Oregon and David Waters (Amy) of Nevada; two grandchildren, Killian McGee of New Hampshire and Carter Tollison of Sylvania; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: 11:30 am – 1 pm Friday, August 5, 2022 in the funeral home.

Memorial Service: 1 pm Friday, August 5, 2022 in the funeral home chapel.
