Brian David Bland, 51, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
Brian was born in 1974 in Savannah and grew up in Pooler, Georgia. He graduated from Groves High School in Garden City, Georgia and went on to earn a degree in construction management from Georgia Southern University. He worked in construction before going to work for CSX Railroad, a job which he loved. Brian could build or fix anything, he was kind, generous, just an amazing man that will be extremely missed. He was predeceased by his father, Ellis Bland of Orange Park, Florida, and his step-father, Karl Ratliff of Milledgeville, Georgia.
He leaves to cherish his memories, daughter, Laurel Bland of Knightdale, North Carolina; son, Bryant Bland of Richmond Hill, Georgia; mother, Carol Ratliff of Milledgeville; brother, John Bland (Mary) of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; half-brother, Dustin Bland (Kim) of Green Cove Springs, Florida; step-brother, Clifton Fortner of Brooklet, Georgia; step-mother, JoAnn Bland of Orange Park, FL, step as well as aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The visitation will be on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The memorial service to honor Brian's life will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
