Obituary

Brother Kenny Harrelson, 65, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025 with his wife beside him.

Brother Kenny grew up in Bloomingdale, Georgia and was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Sandra Kengla Harrelson, and his brothers, Billy Harrelson and Chuck Harrelson.  He was formerly employed at Delta Metals and was a member of the Sons of the Confederacy.  He loved Jesus, his family, preaching, people, and old cars.  He was a former member of Chevis Oaks Baptist Church and after being led by the Lord to preach, made his home at Central Baptist Church for the past 29 years.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Sherry Harrelson; children, Stephanie (Robert) Pullen, Destini, Jasmine, and Caleb; sisters, Deeann Griffin and Ellen Patrick (Jake); sister-in-law, Brenda Collins (Jesse); several nieces and nephews, and Ray Pruitt, his best friend who was like a brother, and Ruby Sapp, who was like a sister.

The visitation will be on Sunday, January 19, 2025 beginning at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Brother Kenny's life will be on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Chevis Oaks Baptist Church located at 102 Sylvania Road in Savannah, Georgia.  The burial will follow at Elkins Cemetery on Highway 204.
