Bruce Ronald Burns
Springfield – Bruce Ronald Burns, 74, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Effingham Hospital.
The Effingham County native was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, Clyo Masonic Lodge # 280 F. & A.M., Effingham County Farm Bureau, and retired as the owner of Springfield Tractor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce G. Burns and Virginia Morgan Burns; wife, Margie Hodges Burns; brother, Laverne Burns; and daughter, Connie Burns.
Survivors include his sons, Greg (Tammi) Burns and Randy Burns; grandsons, Brantley, Shaun, and Shane Burns; brother, Donny (Leette) Burns; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Corinth Baptist Church followed by funeral services at 11 a.m.
Casual dress is recommended.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Remembrances may be given to Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Patricia Edwards, 239 Silver Hill Church Road, Springfield, GA 31329.
