Obituary

Guyton – Bryan George Milne, Sr. 79, passed away May 16, 2024 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Born on May 28, 1944 in Aberdeen, Scotland he proudly shared his love of his Scottish Heritage.  Bryan attended Aviation High School in Queens, NY, and his love for Aviation continued throughout his career.  Bryan began working for Grumman in Bethpage, NY, advancing through two other aerospace OEM's before settling at Gulfstream in Savannah in late 1980.  He retired in 2002.

Bryan met his lovely wife Margaret of 56 years in a bank vault on Wallstreet in Manhattan in 1966.  The two married on June 17, 1967 and had two children.

Bryan loved traveling, exploring technology, had a love for sports car racing, and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was an amazing son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather.  His wit and humor were loved by all who met him.

A deeply faithful man, Bryan was a longtime parishioner at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Springfield.  He served on the Parish Council and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  Bryan and his wife Margaret were members of the Carmelite Seculars, OCDS.

Bryan had a great love for his family and was a nurturing and caring communicator and leader.  His family greatly mourns his passing.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, George Charles Crawford Milne and Margaret Helen Stout Milne; sister, Moira Milne; and brother, Ernest "Sandy" Milne.

Survivors include his wife of over 56 years, Margaret Milne; daughter, Alison McCutchen (David A., III); son, Bryan G. Milne, Jr.; grandchildren, Andrew McCutchen (Amber Jo), Evan McCutchen (Emily), Emily Mercer (Jacob), Matthew McCutchen (Katie), Katie Bradley (Collen), Elise McCutchen, and Kevin McCutchen, Bailee Milne, and Bryson Milne; great-grandchildren, Callie Jo McCutchen, Charlotte McCutchen, Kayce Mercer, Oliver Mercer, and Adelyn Bradley; sister, Vivian Drew (Paschal); brother, Bruce Milne (Rose Anne); and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 1952 Hwy. 21 South, Springfield, GA 31329.

Rosary service will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Funeral mass will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Catholic Cemetery, 1720 Wheaton Street, Savannah, GA 31404.
