Guyton-Bryant "Dick" Carter, 86, died on March 17, 2008 at Hospice Savannah.
The Appling County native was retired from American Cyanamid. He was a member of Faulkville Baptist Church, but was a long time attender of Central Baptist Church of Garden City. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Isabella Carter and son Rickey Dean Carter.
Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Sheena Carter and Anthony Gatch of Atlanta; son and daughter-in-law; Tony and Pat Carter of Guyton; grandchildren, Daniel and Laura Gatch and Rickey Carter; step-grandchildren, Michael and Tiffany Kramer and Richard Kramer; three sisters, Macy Mallard, Lucille Thomas, and Wilda Roberson (Ray); and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2008 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008 in the chapel of the funeral home.
Interment: Hillcrest West
Remembrances: Central Baptist Church, 4010 Old Louisville Rd., Garden City, GA 31408.
