Guyton-Mr. C. Ray Watts, 67, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at Memorial
Health University Medical Center.
Mr. Watts was born in Clarkesville, TN and retired from General Electric. He was a
member of Countryside Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and was active in many
areas of the church. He enjoyed spending time on his farm and with his animals. He was
preceded in death by his father, Cecil Watts and two brothers, Paul and Ricky Watts.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Shearouse Watts of Guyton; children, Timothy (Renea)
Watts of Fort Worth, TX, Juli (Vance) Cryer of Clifton, VA and Jennifer (Shane)
Johnson of Keller, TX; grandchildren, Casey Watson, Baylie and Makayla Watts, Bonnie,
Ethan and Eli Cryer, Rylie, Wyatt and Madeline Johnson; mother, Lena Watts of Guyton;
brothers, Bobby Watts of Greenville, KY and Danny Watts of Wisconsin and a number of
nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Countryside Baptist Church
located at 1201 Noel C. Conaway Road, Guyton, GA 31312 with the funeral to follow at
7 p.m. with the Rev. Terry Wilson officiating.
The graveside funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens
located at 1315 Greenwich Road, Savannah, GA. The church Deacons will serve as pallbearers.
