Caleb Hazzard

Rincon/Guyton- Caleb Hazzard, 21, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

Caleb was a Junior at Georgia Southern University majoring in construction management. He was employed by Custom Aviation, Inc. (Badged through Gulfstream for pickups and deliveries) and their family farm since he was 14 years old. He  graduated from South Effingham High School in 2011.

He was an avid motorcyclist and loved ATV's and motocross all of his life. He had become a duck hunter in the past year, which he was very passionate about and enjoyed this sport with his friends, and many other sports. He loved boating and going to the islands off the coast of Tybee.  He enjoyed water sports, jet skiing and wake boarding.  He had a passion for working out at the gym and was very devoted to achieving his goals in weightlifting and always enjoyed taking someone with him.

Caleb never met a stranger whether young, middle-aged, or elderly and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  Caleb loved and cared for his family and friends deeply and was a compassionate and big hearted young man with many hopes and dreams.

He was an active member of Savannah Christian Church.

Survivors include his mother, Gina Hazzard; father, Wayne Hazzard; sister, Raquel Hazzard; grandmother, Nanny Grace Craven; grandmother, Nanny Carolyn Hazzard; grandfather, Montgomery Hazzard; aunt, June Craven; uncle, Mickey Craven (Jan); great-aunt, Roxie Roberts; cousins, Kenny Roberts,  Josh Ellis (Rachel), Lori Bryant (Adam), and Kimberly Craven; great-cousins, Allie Bryant and Aiden Connell; and many other relatives.

Visitation: 4:30 – 6:30 pm Friday, April 25, 2014 at Savannah Christian Church Effingham Campus.

Funeral: 7 pm Friday, April 25, 2014 at Savannah Christian Church Effingham Campus.

Graveside Service: 11 am Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Appling County.
