Caneita K. Spence, 15, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

Caneita was born in Beaufort, South Carolina.  She was a former student at Godley Station School, attending from the second grade through eighth grade, and was a ninth grade student at Woodville Tompkins High School.  She will be remembered as a beautiful, outspoken, intelligent, lovely person, who had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include her mother, Sandra Slade; father, Canute Spence; step-father, Michael Slade; step-mother, Marcia Spence; siblings, Sanagaye Spence and Stewart Spence; grandmother, Dorosia Morrison, as well as a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, step-sisters, a step-brother, and friends.

The visitation will be on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the funeral home from 9 until 11 a.m.

The funeral to honor Caneita's life will be on Saturday, February 23, 2019 in the chapel of the funeral home beginning at 11 a.m.   Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery on Little Neck Road.
