Newington – Capri Ann Shuman Patterson, 59, passed away November 20, 2021 at her residence.

The Effingham County native was employed at Statesboro Electric Motors.   She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Autry Shuman; her mother, Barbara Jean Shekey Helmey; husband, Charles Edward Patterson, Jr.; and son, Christopher Vernon Patterson.

Survivors include her sons, Charles Edward Patterson, III (Jennifer) and Chad Lewis Patterson (Morgan); a very special friend, Robert Fowler, III; grandchildren, Tesa, Charles, Keith, Matthew, Jordan, Bradley, Ethan, Emma, Ryan, Logan; siblings, Kevin Shuman (Lou), Brian Mixon, Wendy Zittrauer (David), and Amy McDaniel (Ron); step-father, Weldon Helmey;  a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
