Carl Winston Grovenstein, 90, of Marlow, Georgia, died March 19, 2021, at the home of his son, James Randall Grovenstein in Pooler, Georgia.  He was born in Savannah, Georgia, and was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen Clark Grovenstein; his parents, Preston G. Grovenstein and Frankie Lee Grovenstein; brothers, Preston Lee Grovenstein and Clarence Redmond Grovenstein; son, Cary Winston Grovenstein; and grandson, Carl Michael Grovenstein.  Carl was a Charter Member of First Presbyterian Church of Pooler, Georgia, an Elder and member of Eastern Heights Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Georgia until it closed.

He was retired from Stone Container in Pt. Wentworth, Georgia, and retired from Grovenstein Enterprises, Inc., his HVAC business with his son, James Randall.

He is survived by his daughter,  Sharon Grovenstein Warren (Jeff) of Arlington, TX; daughter-in-law, Angela Robinson Grovenstein; three sons, James Randall Grovenstein (Marsha) of Pooler, Georgia, Stephen Glen Grovenstein of Roswell, Georgia, and Michael Lenn Grovenstein (Cynthia) of Springfield, Georgia; grandchildren, Amanda G. Bene (Stephen), Shareen Kessler McBride (Bryan), Sarah L. Williams (David), James A. Grovenstein, Jamon C. Kessler (Catherine), Caleb E. Grovenstein and Preston E. Grovenstein (Victoria); great-grandchildren, Jonah and James Bene, Graham, Lydia and Brent McBride, Charlotte and Caroline Kessler, Lily Grovenstein, David, Jr. and Gabriel Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 10 until 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with entombment to follow at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery.
