Mr. Carl Holton "Pop", 74, of Rincon, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Carl was born in Baxley, Georgia to the late Robert and Mollie Carter Holton. He was in the construction business all of his working life. He loved the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, racing, and his chickens. In his younger years he enjoyed drinking beer, but most of all, loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his son, James Carl Holton, his wife, Dawn Holton, and their children, C.J. Holton, Carter Holton, and Sarah Holton; a daughter, Donna Holton Shuman, her husband, Darryl Shuman, and their children, Christopher Shuman and Jesse Shuman, and their granddaughter, McKenzie Shuman; a daughter, Tina Holton Coburn, and her husband, Mike Coburn, and their children, Caleb Coburn and Elaina Coburn; Carl's wife, Marsha Rahn Holton; step-children, Marsha Perkins, David and Cindi Perkins, and their children, Garret Perkins and McKenzie Perkins; Joseph and Amy Perkins, and their children, Mia Howard, Chloe Perkins, and Jaxon Perkins; brother, Jimmy Holton, and his wife, Robin Holton.
The visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 West Highway 80 in Pooler. All CDC and social distancing guidelines will be in place including the wearing of masks (Chatham County Mandate).
