Obituary
Rincon– Carlton C. Smith, 76, passed away February 24, 2015 at Hospice Savannah. He was born in Emmanuel County and lived in Effingham County.
He worked at Georgia Pacific and did construction work for a few years. Carlton loved to ride and sit in his car and listen to music and sing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Smith; father, Hoyt Smith, Sr.; mother, Gladys McGee Smith; two brothers, Hoyt Smith, Jr. and Donald Smith; and sister, Betty Jean Hook.
He is survived by a sister, Hazel Kirby of Swainsboro; a brother, Jerry Smith of Cave Springs; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Smith and Joyce Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 pm Thursday, February 26, 2015 in the funeral home.
Graveside service: 11 am Friday, February 27, 2015 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
