Mrs. Carol Edwards-Ndhlovu, 70, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
Carol was born in Florence, South Carolina and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She was predeceased by her mother, Mrs. Ruth Edwards-Howard. She was a follower of Christ and a member of Community Bible Church-Savannah.
She is survived by her husband, Enias M. Ndhlovu, daughter, Sabrina Sutherland, son, Hassan Sutherland; beloved granddaughter, Caitlyn Mahoney, grandson, Tempest, and sister, Priscilla Edwards, nephew, Anthony McCrea, step-daughters Fungai Ndhlovu-Mujajati and Shamiso Ndhlovu-Musukwa. Carol impacted many lives foremost among these, is Liu Jiao and her husband Liu Shengling, a Chinese couple, who had adopted her as their American mother. She was much loved by "daughters", Agenia Habersham and Olufunmilayo George-Taylor. She was treasured by her many cousins notably, Pamela Sanders, Mary Elizabeth Payne and Margaret Wills.
Carol retired as an IRS Special Agent. Through her work and leisure, Carol had become a consummate traveler, jetting to 52 countries across 4 continents. Her most memorable places include, the Western Wall, Israel, the Great Wall, China, Hot Springs, Iceland and the Rainforests of Madagascar. Her passable linguistic ability of French, Spanish, Mandarin, Greek, Tswana and Shona endeared her to many tourists around the globe.
Carol's wishes were to be cremated.
