Mrs. Carolyn Boyd, 82, of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Carolyn was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. Smith and Eva Bethea Smith, a son, Lester, brother, Edward Bethea and a sister-in-law, Brenda Romine.  She was a small business owner as well as a homemaker.  She enjoyed watching birds, talking on the phone and had the unique ability to make others laugh.  She will be remembered as being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, William Boyd; children, Joshua Boyd (Eulia), Michael Boyd (Delanie), Melissa Miller (David), and Kelly Shannon; grandchildren, Cayden, Cooper, Johnny, Tradd, Stephen, Garrett, and Lucas; sisters-in-law, Susan Bethea, Beverly Harding (Gil), Patti Leong (Min), and Mickey Romine.

The visitation will be on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.  The funeral to honor Carolyn's life will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery
