Carolyn Burbage Morgan
Clyo – Carolyn Burbage Morgan, 93, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Effingham Hospital.
The South Carolina native retired from Gold Kist. She was a member of Wingard Memorial Lutheran Church and the WELA at the church, a charter member of the Clyo Homemakers, and member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was awarded a Life Membership in PTA for service to Clyo Elementary and Effingham County High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen F. and Catherine Quinby Barbage; husband of 58 years, Warren Porter Morgan, Sr.; sister, Ena Burbage; and brothers, Stephen, Edwin, and Betram Burbage.
Survivors include her children, Elaine Morgan of Beaufort, SC, Warren Porter Morgan, Jr. (Nancy) of Rincon, Jay Morgan of Richmond Hill, and Craig S. Morgan of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, James Thomas Morgan (Kaleigh) and Richard Wade Morgan; great-grandchild, Jaxon Lee Morgan; brother-in-law, Charles G. Canning, Sr.; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Wingard Memorial Lutheran Church.
Interment will follow in Ryall Cemetery.
