Carolyn Roberts, 77, of Pooler, GA, passed away on July 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

The Chatham County native was a member of the Holiness Church of God and a graduate of Commercial High School.  She loved to plant flowers, read, shop, and always enjoyed bowling.  She also had the talent of home decorating.  She volunteered endless hours at her children's schools and was president of the PTA.  She worked at Chatham Dress, Fairway Nissan and ended her working career at Metal Building Maintenance.  Her greatest love was her beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Lee Douglas and Annie Laura Lanier, her husband, John L. Roberts, and sisters, Annette Beebe and Joan Woo Royal.

Survivors include her son, Keith Roberts; daughter, Donna Murray (Cary); grandchildren, Adam Roberts, Haley Ward (Will), Taylor Roberts (Brittany), Alexa Murray, and Carson Murray; great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Magnolia Roberts; sister, Delores Aldrich (Keary); sister-in-law, Dorothy Cowart, and several nieces and nephews.

She had two special life-long friends who she dearly loved, Freida Quick and Jacqueline Martensen.  She also had a daughter-in-love, Kathy Jones, and special friends, Rev. Steve and Peggy McCoy.

The family is so grateful to Terri Sheahan and her staff at Amedisys Hospice Care.

The viewing and visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12 noon on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the funeral home followed by the funeral at 12 noon in the chapel of the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West with Rev. Steve McCoy officiating.
