Obituary
Pooler-Mrs. Carolyn Phyllis Wheeles, 84, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at her son's home.
Mrs. Carolyn was born in Alabama to the late Dewey & Alma Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Bert James Wheeles, Sr., grandsons, Mark Ashley Wheeles and Phillip Dewey Wheeles, Jr., a daughter-in-law, Kathie Lee Wheeles, and two sisters. She was a member of Rothwell Baptist Church and she was formerly employed at Memorial Hospital. She was known as a "Master Biscuit Maker", and was a good and faithful servant of the Lord.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Bert Wheeles, Jr. & Sue, Phillip Wheeles, Sr. & Penny, David Wheeles, Sr. & Marilyn, and Timothy Wheeles, Sr. & Brenda; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the chapel of the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
