Caryn Ann White, 56, of Pooler, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at her home.

Caryn was born in Pascagoula, MS to the late Edward Wilson & Zoa Cutler White.  She received her Special Education Degree from Vanderbilt University and later, her Master's Degree in Education from Tennessee State University.  She spent 20 years teaching in the Metro Nashville Public School System and was named the 2001-2002 Teacher of the Year for the state of Tennessee.  She went on to become a Master Educator for the Washington D.C. Public School System before moving to Savannah where she continued impacting the lives of special needs children.

She is survived by her sister, Laurie Miller; niece, Logan Miller and nephew, Landon Miller; uncle, Charles Cutler (Marilyn); dear family friends, Ronny, Diane and Sean Calahan, and beloved dog, Ally.

There will be a memorial service at a later date in Mobile, AL
