Mrs. Catherine Smith DeLoach, 90, of Statesboro, Georgia and formerly of Port Wentworth, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Southern Manor.

Catherine was born in Bryan County and was preceded in death by her husband, Don Alsa DeLoach, her parents, Grady and Frances Hawkins Smith, as well as siblings, Julius, Rex, Olan, Juanita, and Virginia.  She was a graduate of Bryan County High School as well as a graduate of the nursing program at Memorial Hospital.  She was an LPN and had worked in a number of nursing homes over the years.  She was a member of the Port Wentworth Methodist Church and the Eastern Star, Garden City Chapter.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed going to NASCAR races with her husband.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Marilyn Lewis (John); son, Gary DeLoach (Vicki); grandchildren, Troy Yocum, Chad DeLoach, Kirt DeLoach, and Caley Copeland; great-grandchildren, Tinsley DeLoach, Brooks DeLoach, Claire Copeland, and Cole Copeland; brother, Howard, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private graveside service to honor Catherine's life.
