Eden – Charles W. Dixon, 73, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021 in a boating accident.

The Savannah native was an elevator mechanic/inspector. He had served as a member of the Richard Turner Masonic Lodge, the Effingham County Recreation Board, and the Effingham County Recreation Department Hall of Fame. Charles loved fishing, woodworking, coaching and being with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Connie Dixon; children, Deidre Ford (Yancy), Lance Dixon (Amanda), and Tammy Page (Chris); and grandchildren, Matthew & Josh Ford, Rosie & Cade Dixon, Sutton, Lexi, Seth, Lyla, Cole, and Emma Page.

Graveside service: 11 am Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Effingham Memorial Gardens. Casual dress is encouraged.
