Ellabell - Charles Ramon Hendrix, 55, passed away unexpectantly on Sunday, March 4, 2012.
Ramon was born and raised in Savannah, GA. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and expert archer. He was employed by Michael's Roofing where he was known as a kind man with a superior work ethic. Ramon attended Meldrim Baptist Church and was a previous member of Victory Drive Baptist Church. He will be especially remembered for love of family, the outdoors and archery.
Ramon is preceded in death by his parents, Lois Evelyn and Doyce H. Hendrix, Sr., and his brother Doyce H. Hendrix Jr. He is survived by his loving companion, Janis Haymans, two daughters, Chelsa and Casandra Hendrix, and expected grandson, and two step-sons Jordan and Jared Haymans. He will be remembered in love by his brothers and sisters, Carol Diane Burdette, Darrell Hendrix, Craig Hendrix, Robert Hendrix, Bonnie Hendrix, Roland Cannon, Michael Cannon, Lisa Hammond, Doyce W.B. Hendrix, Elizabeth Hendrix, Sabrina Aikens and many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the funeral home.
The funeral to honor Ramon's life will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Meldrim Baptist Church, 229 Ohoopee Ave., Meldrim GA. with Rev. Jimmy Carlisle officiating. Ramon's brothers will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim.
